q: How do I find my perfect hair colour?
a: Through our Virtual Consultation we will learn about your hair history and assess your current hair situation. This will give us the necessary information to make a professional suggestion as to the right hair colour for you and will inform our custom colour formulation.
a: We always suggest you do a skin test 24 hours prior to colouring your hair. Wash your hair 24-48 hours before colouring your hair for optimal colour uptake. Before starting refer to the Colour Kit instructions on our site.
q: Can I highlight or bleach my hair?
a: At this time we do not have any Kits containing bleach as the risk of damage and undesirable results is too high.
q: Is Colour Lab taking new clients?
a: We welcome everyone, new and returning clients. For new clients we will send out a complimentary, easy to follow consultation instructions. During this consultation we will discuss your hair history and goals while also giving our professional opinion on what would best suit you.
q: What are your shipping details?
a: We ship ground transport only within Canada using Canada Post. Tracking information and delivery times are available at check out.
q: How do we accept payment?
a: We use Shopify for our secure check out method. We can not accept over the phone payments or e-transfers. We accept all major credit and debit cards.
q: Will the colour stain my towel?
a: Most likely the colour will stain your cotton towel or clothing. Always prepare a towel and shirt that you do not mind getting stained to be safe.
q: I have staining around my hairline, will this go away?
a: Skin staining is totally normal especially with darker colours. Always use the cotton provided to wipe away any colour around your hairline – the faster you wipe it off the less it will stain. Any remaining hairline staining will come off completely after a few more shampoos.
q: Do i have to use a specific shampoo and conditioner?
a: We have a complete list of Oribe and Goldwell products to tend to all your hair needs. From Moisture to Volume all while maintaining shine and most importantly colour integrity. Feel free to reach out via email or phone to discuss which products would be best for your hair.
